THE HON KAUSEA NATANO

The Honourable Kausea Natano is the Prime Minister of Tuvalu. He was sworn in as Prime Minister of Tuvalu on the 19^th September 2019.

Hon.Kausea has served as a Politician for over 18 years.

Earlier in his career, Hon.Kausea served in the Customs Department and later became the Director of Customs and Inland Revenue. He also served as Acting Assistant Secretary for the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors for the National Bank of Tuvalu.

He is an Alumni of the University of the South Pacific and was one of the few students that attended King George V Secondary School in Kiribati while Tuvalu was still under the Colony of Gilbert and Ellice Islands.

He was born on 5^th July 1957.
