MISSIONS: SG Taylor in Europe

The Pacific Islands Forum Secretary General, Dame Meg Taylor is in Europe this week for a series of meeting which will culminate with her attendance of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2018 (CHOGM) in London (April 16th – 20th).
In Geneva, Dame Meg first met with the Pacific Islands Forum Delegation to the World Trade Organization – WTO Ambassador Mere Falemaka and her staff, the Secretary General of the UNCTAD, Dr Mukhisa Kituyi and Mr William Lacy Swing, Director General of the International Office of Migration, on Tuesday (April 10th).

On Wednesday (April 11th), Dame Meg met with Pacific Ambassadors based in Geneva who include representatives of #Fiji, #SolomonIslandsand #Vanuatu; Michael Moller, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva (Palais des Nations); Robert Azevedo, the Director General of the WTO; and Ms Arancha Gonzalez, the Executive Director of the International Trade Centre (ITC).


Dame Meg is in Brussels today to meet with #Pacific #ACPAmbassadors, the European Commission – Development & Cooperation – EuropeAid and the ACP Secretary General to discuss among other issues, preparations for the imminent post-Cotonou agreement.

She leaves Brussels for London tomorrow (Friday, April 12th) to attend and support Pacific Leaders at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
