ADDRESS BY GREG URWIN, SECRETARY GENERAL, PACIFIC ISLANDS FORUM SECRETARIAT
Executives and Directors of Transparency International, Colleagues and Distinguished Guests, thank you for the opportunity to speak to you this afternoon.

2. May I first of all, offer my congratulations to you for the critically important work you continue to do on lifting the standards of integrity within our communities. We share with you fully the belief that it is fundamentally important to establish and extend this work in all of our sectors, whether it is government, civil society, the private sector or regional organisations such as the Pacific Islands Forum. While we are all quick enough to say how much we support good governance, we must also walk our talk, something which, I must say, organisations such as the one I belong to, which preach the gospel in these matters, need always to bear in mind. May I also, while I’m at it, offer you my thanks for making use of our facilities here. From our point of view, that is an outward and visible sign of a relationship we would like to foster.
